The Yellow emperor, called Huangdi in Chinese, is the earliest ancestor of Chinese civilisation. His cemetery is
in Qiao mountain, Shanxi province, which is named "Huangdi Ling (Cemetery) "
Huangdi lived for 111 years and survived 52 wars. During the Huangdi era, there was much development of civilisation
- agriculture, animal husbandry, communication, architecture, clothing, writing, music, medicine, the compass, etc.
China's five thousand year-old civilisation, began during the Huangdi era. Many years later, many Chinese leaders
and visitors from abroad still come to Huangdi Ling to pray.
Many people also consider Huangdi Ling as a mysterious Feng Shui place, and it has the following main features:
Qiao mountain has a dragon shape rising to the top, where Huangdi's grave is sited, at an elevation of 944m.
From the top of the Qiao mountain ridge, there is a rive flowing toward to the Luo river, an ancient Chinese cultural resource.
There are around 80,000 trees over a thousand years old, spread over the 3,820sqkm Qiao mountain area. The one with
its roots at Huangdi's grave, has a recorded age of 5000 years.
The phoenix and tortoise mountains lie on the left and right flanks of Huangdi Ling dragon mountain. The tiger mountain
is situated at its front, with a river flowing in between.
Many Feng Shui consultants from various dynasties of China have believed that the Huangdi cemetery is the indispensable
centre of Feng Shui for the whole Chinese nation. It predicted China going through different historical stages, up or down,
auspicious or inauspicious, strong or weak, but it has always kept China as an integrated nation ¨C right up until the dramatic growth of recent times.
In ancient China, Chinese people used to spend a lot of time and effort looking for the best site for their family grave.
They thought the cemeteries (Yin houses) were very import for the future of their offspring. A better Feng shui Yin house
would bring the whole family a brighter future. As we can observe, China is strong and thriving.
Of course, in nowadays, there is no many ground for the dead body so that the people start to concentrate on Yang houses(life people's house)
rather than Yin house.
