This Simbol(Yin-Yang) in terms of ancient Chinese philosophy, represents how universal works. The outer circle is "everything", while the black and white shapes within the circle represent the interaction of two energies, called "yin" (black) and "yang" (white), which cause universal changes to happen. They are not completely black or white, just as things in life are not completely black or white, and they cannot exist without each other. While "yin" would be dark, passive, downward, cold, contracting, and weak, "yang" would be bright, active, upward, hot, expanding, and strong. The shape of the yin and yang sections of the symbol, actually gives you a sense of the continual movement of these two energies, yin to yang and yang to yin, causing everything to happen: just as things expand and contract, and temperature changes from hot to cold.
Yin and Yang theory is a very important part of Chinese traditional philosophy and science.
Tai Ji means the primary point of universal. Chinese ancient philosopher thought this point is unlimited
so it also called no-Ji
Mr Zhou Dun yi (1017-1073)Song dynasty of China, philosopher, He concerned Tai Ji as ---
No Ji so Tai ji.
Tai Ji moves so Yang born, Moving Ji so Yin born, Yin Ji makes movement again.
Therefore, both move and still are roots of Ji; Yin and Yang make Ji exiting both sides.
Yin Yang move and flow so it generates Water, Fire, wood, Metal and Earth. Five elements stay in order
as well as the four seasons in turn. Five elements makes Yin Yang, Yin Yang makes Tai Ji, Tai Ji makes
universal origin which was non-Ji.
This means that the universal including heaven, mankind, earth is initially from Tai Ji. Therefore,
Tai Ji became the root and principle of the heaven, man and the earth. So that the human behaviors along
with the rule of the Tai Ji. What is that?
The rule of Tai Ji is Move and Still.
Move generates Yang, Still generate Yin; Yin and Yang separated into two end points, which are the heaven
and earth.
Yang is constantly changing and Yin is continually adjusting so that adjustment and changing produced Metal,
Wood, Water, Fire and Earth, which are 5 elements.
The birth of human was the expression of law of Yin and Yang. Yin is woman and Yang is man. Then generation
changes one by one forever no-ending.
Therefore, comparing with other things in the universal, the human is the most talent thing because it
got the essential of YinYang five elements from universal. But this does not mean the human would be superior
of other animals.
We concerned human has greater feature because human has heart, which contains much more thought and morality
but animals. If a person does not have this special heart so it would be the same as the animal or even worse.
